An Informative & Helpful Interview with Linda from Be Thriving Moms Today

Are you wondering how you can start feeling your best and go from totally burnt-out and hardly surviving to enjoying yourself and completely thriving?

We connected with Linda, the Owner of Be Thriving Moms Today who was once a Tired Mother herself, and she agreed to answer our questions about how Moms can benefit from Coaching, how Moms are struggling most these days and offers some suggestions on what can be done today to maximize and thrive in 2025!

Question: Linda, What makes you so passionate about helping moms to thrive?

Answer: My passion for helping moms thrive stems from my own transformative journey. Life taught me its most powerful lesson when my youngest child was born and we spent months in the NICU. During that challenging time, I discovered that while we can't control what happens to us, we can control how we respond.

Every challenge presents an opportunity for growth—it's all about perspective. Through this experience, I didn't just become more resilient; I became anti-fragile, turning obstacles into fuel for growth.

This is why I'm deeply passionate about supporting other moms. Life is inherently messy and unpredictable, filled with pain, uncertainty, and hard work.

But even in chaos, there's an opportunity to thrive and make the best of our situation—whether the kids are sick, work is stressful, or things aren't going as planned.

I'm here to help moms embrace life's realities and flourish, rather than waiting for life to become easier or less stressful, and the kids to be older.

Question: How does a mom know she's thriving? How does she feel?

Answer: I believe that a thriving mom experiences an inner sense of calm and confidence, even when life throws curveballs her way.

She knows deep down that she can handle whatever comes, and she's learned to quiet the inner voices that tell her she's not good enough.

While no one is perfect, and even thriving moms occasionally get hijacked by their saboteurs (hello pleaser, restless, victim, controller, and hyper-vigilant voices!), they're able to recognize and address these patterns much more quickly than before.

When a mom is thriving, she's grounded rather than running on autopilot or constantly putting herself last.

She finds more ease and flow in her life, balancing responsibilities with self-compassion. She shows up authentically for herself and her family, making decisions aligned with her true self—without guilt or shame clouding her judgment.

Question: If you could share with a struggling burnt-out mom a few tips on how she can begin to go from just surviving to fully thriving, what would they be?

Answer:

  1. Schedule rest and downtime: Don't wait for rest to happen—schedule it intentionally, especially during mornings and evenings when you have more control over your time.

This isn't about doing nothing; it's about purposeful, restorative rest that energizes rather than drains you. Whether it's 10 minutes of quiet reflection, deep breathing, or stepping outside, giving yourself permission to pause is transformative.

Remember, rest isn't a reward—it's essential for thriving, even when your inner hyper-achiever pushes you to keep going.

  2. Find your #1 self-care habit and make it non-negotiable: Identify what truly fuels you and makes you feel alive, then prioritize it in your daily routine. Whether it's movement, fresh air, meditation, social connection, or journaling—make sure it fills YOUR cup.

Start small and build from there. You'll notice that both your challenging and good days improve, creating an upward spiral of well-being.

  3. Start with small, intentional habits: Remember that transformation doesn't happen overnight, and consistency is key. Make it easy to succeed, so that even when "life happens," you'll follow through. Then celebrate your wins, immediately and intensely (seriously!!!)!

I particularly recommend implementing a small morning routine—even just five minutes before the house wakes up. This time for yourself can completely transform your day's trajectory.

Question: Do you feel thriving in today's times is different than how we thrived in the past? How has this changed with modern-day mothering?

Answer: Modern motherhood presents unique challenges. Today's moms juggle multiple roles—managing households, raising children, building careers, and maintaining social media presence—all while facing unprecedented pressure to be "perfect."

Unlike previous generations, many of us lack the traditional village of support, leading to increased isolation. As someone whose family is in Germany while my husband's is in Ontario, I understand this firsthand.

This is precisely why I've expanded beyond individual coaching to create community. Our weekly "Ground, Grow & Connect" gathering on Sunday nights offers a space where we meditate together, share practical tools and strategies, and set intentions. We support and celebrate each other and create accountability, because thriving today isn't about doing it alone—it's about growing together.

Question: Why would you recommend a mom work with a coach if she's feeling like she wants to thrive, and how would a coach help her with that?

Answer: While I may be biased :), having worked with several coaches myself, I strongly believe in the transformative power of coaching.

Sometimes we need an outside perspective to gain clarity, someone to hold space for reflection, celebrate our progress, and provide accountability when we need it most.

In my coaching practice, I utilize two powerful, scientifically-proven approaches. The first is Positive Intelligence (PQ), which focuses on transforming our mind from potential adversary to ally by rewiring our brain to reduce self-sabotage and embrace "sage mode"—a state of greater ease and flow.

And yes, if some moms might say... but I don't have time... I will show you that it is possible with just several intentional 2min long app guided exercises throughout the day. No need to meditate for an hour straight!

The second approach, Heroic, combines ancient wisdom with modern science and cutting-edge personal development tools to help close the gap between where you are and where you know you can be. We all have more potential than we realize, and witnessing my clients step into their power and truly thrive is incredibly rewarding.

If you're curious to learn more, I invite you to take the free 5-minute quiz at www.positiveintelligence.com/saboteurs.

This eye-opening assessment will help you identify potential areas of self-sabotage. Afterward, I'd be happy to offer a complimentary session to discuss your results.
