Here are 10 Ways That You Can Make Your Life Less Overwhelming and More Organized
If you feel like your days are blurring together and you are having a difficult time keeping up with all the mess and stress, then maybe it's time for you to take some steps to simplify your life. Decluttering, Meal Planning & Prepping, and Cleaning on a Schedule are just a few of the ways you can ease off some of the pressure you feel during your days. These 10 tips will help with a sense of daily satisfaction and an overall healthier Mommy mindset.
1. Create a Family Calendar
All the people in your home can operate off this same daily itinerary. You can go the written route and write it all down, or you can utilize a shared digital calendar app on your phones and tablets to keep track of everyone's appointments, schedules, sports, and activities all in one place.
2. Meal Prep & Planning
Planning meals for the week ahead will save you time and help reduce stress, giving you the pleasure of relaxing more in the evenings with your family versus flipping out over the heavy feeling of needing to come up with something to make.

Also, consider batch cooking or prepping ingredients in advance to make the whole meal thing that much easier and more organized!
3. Declutter Regularly & Donate (Or Sell) Your Items
Setting aside time each month to clean, clear and declutter toys, clothes, and other household items is a good practice to start with your family so they know that they can give away (or sell) unused and unwanted items!

Not only does this help maintain a more organized space, it can give you extra money by selling your goods online, or give you some satisfaction from donating your stuff.
4. A Command Center for Home Base
Paper is one of the fastest things that ends up in a pile. If you designate a specific area in your home as a command center for important documents, mail, and schedules to keep everything in one place, then your whole family will know where things go, and where they can look for it!
5. Cleaning On A Schedule
Involving your family with cleaning is essential - even if it's just to get them to clean up behind themselves. Create a daily or weekly cleaning schedule to break tasks into manageable chunks, making it easier to maintain a tidy home.

6. Delegate Responsibilities & Ask for Help
You've got to ask - so try to involve your kids and partner (if there is one) in household tasks with a schedule for who does what and when. Assign age-appropriate chores to encourage responsibility and teamwork in all ages!
7. Create a "Drop It Zone" for All the Things
Set up a designated place for all of the purses, jackets, backpacks, and shoes to help minimize clutter at the entrance of your home, or wherever it tends to pile up.
8. Use Lists Both Print & Online
Some people live for their lists! I write out everything I need to do in a day when I'm feeling extra busy, even though it may already be in my day planner or phone. I use both online and print lists.

Keep to-do lists for your daily tasks, your grocery shopping needs, and errands that need to get done. There are digital apps you can download or notepads & pens work great too and there are some SUPER cute notebooks these days that can help you stay organized.
9. Create a Routine For the Whole Family
Part of the overwhelming feelings you get as a Mom, or the Mom Anxiety/Burn-out is from having too many things to keep track of and get done. Establishing a consistent daily routine that everyone can be a part of can help streamline your own days and create a sense of stability for the whole family.
10. Prioritize Self-Care & Self-Love
Always try to take time for yourself, even if it's just a few minutes a day by doing something that is at the top of your to-do list. Make sure you schedule it and take the time to make it happen! Taking care of your mental and physical health is crucial for overall health, well being, productivity, and organization.
